BBC Science Production for BBC TWO

Dara O'Briain's Science Club was a weekly science magazine for BBC TWO.  In each programme experts and a lively audience join Dara Ó Briain to tackle the biggest concepts in science and discover the great ideas that are changing the world we live in. Each week, the team take one subject and explore all possible angles, combining it with studio discussions in front of a live audience, films and on the spot experiments.

As series director - I was responsible for the overall look of the show and how we linked from our "live" laboratory studio base in an East London warehouse into our film packages. Both series were recorded on location using an OB truck for series 1 and a fly-away kit for series 2.

Series one first aired on BBC Two in 2012, with series two on air the following year.  Science Club won The Best TV General Programme Award at the 2013 European Science TV and New Media Awards beating off competition from QI, Science Squad and Biomimetics.
